Clarksburg MA

Discover the Beauty of Nature

The town of Clarksburg MA is small in size but has lots to offer in natural beauty.

If you love outdoor recreation, consider visiting Clarksburg State Park or Clarksburg State Forest .

At the State Park, you can spend a day enjoying a picnic, walking the trails, birdwatching, canoeing, swimming or fishing in Mausert's Pond.

Or, you can camp at one of the wooded campsites that are available.

In the State Forest, which is located approximately 3 miles west of the park, you can go for a hike. As a matter of fact, part of the Appalachian Trail runs right through the area. This is especially enjoyable during the fall foliage season when the leaves change from green to their vibrant, rich colors.

Fishing may also be enjoyed on the Hudson Brook or North Branch of the Hoosac River which are both located in Clarksburg, Mass.

For those who enjoy a game of golf, the North Adams Country Club is located just off Route 8, the main highway running through the town.

And, during the winter months, cross country skiing is a popular sport in the area.

Dining at the Golden Eagle Restaurant, located at the famous Hairpin Turn on Route 2, is a real treat. There you can enjoy breathtaking views of the valley and Mount Greylock which is the highest point in the region.

And, if you are interested in relocating to the area, there are several real estate agents who would be more than happy to assist you in finding your dream home.

So, if the quiet and beauty of nature are what you are looking for, take a trip to Clarksburg Massachusetts and enjoy the great outdoors.
