And, the music festivals and concerts held in Berkshire County will do just that!

You’ll hear some of the country’s best musical talents performing live at one of the many music venues offered in the Berkshires. And, if you love to perform, and have the talent to do so, some venues offer you the opportunity to practice and participate in the performances as well.

South Mountain Concerts present chamber music concerts each year during early fall at the South Mountain Concert Hall. The 440-seat music hall was specifically designed for chamber music concerts and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Buildings.

Tanglewood Music Festival holds classical, pop, and jazz festivals and concerts from June through Labor Day. It is also the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Facilities include Seiji Ozawa Hall, the Shed with seating under the canopy, or the lawn. The lawn is the most popular place to enjoy a concert, but the Shed allows closer observation. Patrons are encouraged to bring food, wine, lawn chairs, and/or blankets to the performance. It is handicap accessible.

Berkshire Choral Festival provides the opportunity for choral singers to come together for eight weeks each year on a “singing vacation.” The singers rehearse and study for five weeks.
